My sister did a walking food tour of Rome with my bro-law and really liked it. So when I was in Paris awhile back we looked into it. Have to say it was probably the best thing we did. We walked a section of Paris popping in and out of 7-8 different places, the guide gave us a good background and history of the area. He took us to places that most tourists wouldn't necessarily visit and we were definitely full at the end. Took into account how adventurous you are in terms of trying new or exotic foods and any allergies or intolerance you might have with different foods.
It's not something you think about doing when travelling but I think it's something to consider since it gives you a good mix of food, music, culture at a reasonable value at least in my opinion. It was a $100 for a 4 hour walking food tour. Because it's good regular business for the places we never waited in line even if there were lineups. The guide arrives within a certain timeline and a place was set aside for us if needed so that was cool also.
